Pedroia selected for Heart and Hustle Award

HOUSTON -- Dustin Pedroia has been selected as the Red Sox's team winner for the 2015 Heart and Hustle Award by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, it was announced on Tuesday.

Pedroia won the overall award in 2013.

The Heart and Hustle Award honors active players who demonstrate a passion for the game of baseball and best embody the values, spirit and tradition of the game.

The fiery Pedroia has been a team leader on the Red Sox for most of his career.

The final winner will be announced on Nov. 10 at the 16th Annual Legends for Youth Dinner in New York City.
