• Manager Joe Maddon called Sunday's series finale "a little reverse meatloaf" in trying to leave town with one win in three games.

Left-hander Alex Torres relieved Jamey Wright in the second inning. Wright left after throwing 36 pitches, giving up a leadoff home run. "It's almost working the game in reverse," Maddon said. "Sending two guys out there and then using someone who could finish the game."
