Former Giants athletic trainer Nugent dies

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Former Giants athletic trainer Barney Nugent died of cancer over the weekend. Nugent worked for the team from 1993 to 2003.

Larry Baer, Giants president and chief executive officer, said of Nugent in a statement, "Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Denise, and all those whose lives he touched. We will miss him and always remember him as part of our Giants family."
