Frazier finds way to contribute in off night

ST. LOUIS -- Todd Frazier would be more than happy to forget his night at the plate during Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Cardinals. The third baseman was 0-for-4 with three strikeouts.

Frazier did have a memorable moment in the field, however, in the fourth inning. With pitcher Homer Bailey struggling in a 4-4 tie, Frazier made a nice diving stop on a hard grounder from Allen Craig. He was able to turn an inning-ending double play.

"That was great. I didn't do much at the plate yesterday, but I thought that could have been a really big key play in the game," Frazier said. "We went up one run the next inning. It kept us in the game. If you can't hit that day, figure out a way to make a play on defense. I always take pride in my defense."
