Sanchez remains hot for Double-A Trenton

Yankees No. 7 prospect has homered and notched at least 2 hits in 4 straight games

Gary Sanchez is on fire for Double-A Trenton.

The Yankees' No. 7 prospect went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the Thunder's 8-6 win over New Hampshire on Tuesday. While that line might not seem very impressive on its own, consider this: Sanchez has now homered and picked up at least two hits in four straight games.

This is a stark change from the beginning of the season as the 22-year-old catcher only hit one homer in the first 21 games of the year. He's picked up tremendously since then and has 12 dingers -- and is on pace to pass his career-high of 18 -- along with an invitation to the 2015 All-Star Futures Game.

New York signed Sanchez out of the Dominican Republic in June 2009 and he's clobbered 83 homers and 351 RBIs since debuting for the GCL Yankees in 2010.
