Scutaro continues working toward game action

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Second baseman Marco Scutaro continued his regimen of baseball-related activities but still hasn't appeared in a Cactus League game as he copes with back pain.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday that he might divulge more details about Scutaro's condition Wednesday.

In Scutaro's absence, Nick Noonan has played a team-high 39 innings at second base, followed by Tony Abreu (29) and Brandon Hicks (26). Ehire Adrianza, who's likely to receive more extensive activity at second base later in the spring, has played four innings there.
