Veteran Casilla's reporting delayed by visa issue

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Maybe it's an oddity; maybe it's just an example of clerical red tape. But for some reason, visa problems are delaying veteran right-hander Santiago Casilla's arrival in camp, while his brother, rookie right-hander Jose, has reported.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy offered no explanation for why Jose, nearly nine years younger than Santiago, avoided complications.

Bochy said the Giants have sent the daily workout plan to Santiago Casilla and left-hander Jose De Paula, who's also stuck in the Dominican Republic due to visa issues. Bochy said they can maintain their conditioning and do their throwing at the Giants' baseball academy there.
