Giants welcome Dodgers to town
Homestand features: Japanese Heritage Night and Until There's A Cure Day
SAN FRANCISCO, CA. - The 2014 World Champion San Francisco Giants return home for a quick three-game homestand against the Los Angeles Dodgers (May 19-21).
Tuesday, May 19, is Japanese Heritage Night. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive access to the pre-game Japanese Heritage Night festival in Seals Plaza from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and a collector's edition soundchip bobblehead of Japanese American, Travis Ishikawa. Prior to the game, cultural performances will take place on the field for fans to enjoy. Proceeds from each special event ticket sold will benefit local Japanese charities. In addition, SF Hep B Free will be in the Community Clubhouse, located on the Promenade Level behind home plate, to raise awareness for Hepatitis B. Fans who visit the Community Clubhouse will receive a fact card on Hepatitis B featuring a photo of Ishikawa.
It is also Say Hey Tuesday as CSN Bay Area will host Yahoo! Sports Talk Live, Giants Pregame Live, and Giants Postgame Live from Willie Mays Plaza. Fans are invited to come out early and watch their favorite sports analysts. The first 500 fans who come to Willie Mays Plaza and get in line at the Comcast SportsNet tent will receive a Snowglobe.
Wednesday, May 20, is the Giants 22nd annual Until There's A Cure Day, presented by Gilead, raising funds and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS, presented by the Giants Community Fund and Gilead Sciences. A portion of every special event ticket sold will go directly to the Until There's A Cure Foundation. The first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive an Until There's A Cure postcard featuring Joe Panik wearing the Bracelet. The Giants Community Fund and the Until There's A Cure Foundation will provide $20,000 in grants to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the New Conservatory Theater, two organizations who provide services and treatment to those living with HIV/AIDS. Fans can also support the efforts to find a cure by purchasing Until There's A Cure Bracelets and limited edition Until There's A Cure/Giants t-shirts throughout the game.
