Hellickson's blister causes rotation shuffle

Right-hander's first post-break start pushed back; Anderson moved up

NEW YORK -- The blister on Jeremy Hellickson's right thumb will need some extra time to heal, so the D-backs have tweaked their post All-Star break rotation.

Hellickson threw a bullpen session on Sunday with a band-aid covering the blister that had developed during his Wednesday start against the Rangers.

The blister forced Hellickson to leave that start after four innings, but the team had optimistically penciled him in to start the second game after the break Saturday against the Giants.

Instead, Hellickson will be pushed back to July 21 when the D-backs play host to the Marlins. He will be changing places with Chase Anderson, who will now start Saturday.

The D-backs' rotation coming out of the break will be Robbie Ray, Anderson, Patrick Corbin, Rubby De La Rosa and Hellickson.
