ICYMI: Friars fight back to even series vs. D-backs

It's hard to know which Padres team will take the field these days given the team's on-again/off-again affair with overpowering offense and run production. Nonetheless, the Padres came roaring back on Friday to take a 6-5 victory over the D-backs after stringing together some timely hitting and powerful offense with a "will" to win. Thanks to Friday's victory, the Padres now sit even in the weekend series against the D-backs and have a chance to guarantee a series split tomorrow.

Friday's game had a little bit of everything, including two Padres hitters -- Will Venable and Wil Myers -- coming one hit shy of hitting for the cycle and James Shields improving his record to 4-0 on the season.
