Anderson recovering from emergency procedure
Cleveland pitcher Cody Anderson underwent an emergency appendectomy Tuesday night in Glendale, Ariz., after an acute onset of lower abdominal pain. The arthroscopic surgery was performed by Dr. Kevin Potter at the St. Joseph's Westgate Medical Center.
Anderson's expected recovery time is two to four weeks, at which point he will resume his normal offseason training activities.
The right-handed hurler produced a 7-3 record with a 3.05 ERA over 15 starts last season. He figures into Cleveland's deep starting rotation for the 2016 season.
