Lindor's grand slam caps RubberDucks' comeback

Shortstop Francisco Lindor, the Indians' No. 1 prospect, hit a go-ahead grand slam in the eighth inning Thursday as Double-A Akron defeated Altoona, 9-7.

The RubberDucks entered the eighth inning trailing, 7-4. They scored one run against left-hander Jhonathan Ramos, before he was relieved by Ryan Beckman. The right-hander walked the first batter he faced, bringing Lindor to the plate with the bases loaded.

Lindor, ranked No. 9 on MLB.com's Top 100 prospects list, wasted little time finishing Akron's comeback. He drove an 0-1 pitch over the right-field wall for his first career grand slam. He finished the night 3-for-5 and is hitting .298 with four home runs in 31 games this season.

After Lindor's home run, left-hander Kyle Crockett, the Indians' No. 17 prospect, pitched a scoreless ninth for his fifth save of the season.

The RubberDucks also got a boost from center fielder Tyler Naquin, the Indians' No. 5 prospect. He went 3-for-5 with two doubles and three runs in the victory. He is hitting .292 this season.
