Indians' Spring Training broadcast schedule released

Cactus League opener against Reds will be among games televised

CLEVELAND -- Put down the snow shovel and think warm thoughts. In five weeks, Indians pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to Spring Training, and Cactus League games will be right around the corner.

On Wednesday, Cleveland released its Spring Training broadcast schedule, which will have a considerable amount of games televised on SportsTime Ohio and broadcast locally on the radio. All of the Tribe's games this spring will have an audio feed available on indians.com as well.

When the Indians open their Spring Training slate against the Reds at 3:05 p.m. ET on March 3 at Goodyear Ballpark, the game will be aired on SportsTime Ohio. The spring opener will also be broadcast on WTAM 1100 AM and across the Indians Radio Network.

STO will also carry games on March 4 (Reds), March 5 (Reds), March 10 (Cubs), March 12 (Royals), March 17 (Reds), March 23 (A's) and March 26 (Reds). That should provide plenty of opportunities to potentially get a glimpse of American League Cy Young Award winner Corey Kluber, AL Most Valuable Player Award finalist Michael Brantley or newly acquired slugger Brandon Moss.

WTAM will carry 10 games this spring, 99X (99.1 FM) will air three and WMMS (100.7 FM) will broadcast two during the preseason. All of the games will be available across the Indians Radio Network and on indians.com via MLB Gameday Audio. The indians.com feed will either feature Indians radio man Jim Rosenhaus or the visiting radio team.

Indians pitchers and catchers are required to report on Feb. 18, with the first official workout scheduled for Feb. 20. The full squad is scheduled to report on Feb. 22, and the first official team workout is slated for Feb. 24 at the team's spring complex in Goodyear, Ariz.

Tickets for Spring Training games are currently available. Information about tickets and travel packages can be found at indians.com/spring.

Cleveland will wrap up its Spring Training games on April 4 against the Brewers before traveling to Houston for an Opening Day clash with the Astros on April 6 in Houston (aired on ESPN). The Indians begin the home portion of their regular-season schedule with a 3:05 p.m. tilt against the Tigers on April 10 at Progressive Field.

Fans can register for single-game tickets by visiting indians.com/onlineonsale.
