Injured Jepsen is still not throwing

ANAHEIM -- Angels reliever Kevin Jepsen, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a strained right lat muscle, has not picked up a baseball since and is hoping treatment and rest will alleviate the pain.

"I haven't been trying to recreate the pain or anything like that," Jepsen said. "I've just been trying to let it calm down, not moving it."

Jepsen plans on letting the medication run its course and is unsure when he will resume throwing.

"Right now, there's no real telling as far as what's going to happen," Jepsen said.

In 3 2/3 innings this season, Jepsen allowed four earned runs while trying to pitch through the pain.
