Winker homers in third straight game for Blue Wahoos

Reds No. 1 prospect remains scorching hot for Double-A Pensacola

Make it three in a row for Reds top prospect Jesse Winker.

The left fielder went yard for the third straight night on Thursday as Double-A Pensacola fell to Biloxi, 6-5. Winker finished 2-for-4 with a trio of RBIs that came on a third-inning shot and he's 7-for-13 with six RBIs since Tuesday.

Winker, baseball's No. 33 overall prospect, has 11 homers on the year. The 21-year-old has been fairly consistent all season, batting .271/.371/.410 with 18 doubles and 43 RBIs in 103 games for the Blue Wahoos.

Drafted No. 49 overall in 2012, he's on pace to set new career highs for two-baggers (20 in 2014), walks (63 in 2013) and stolen bases (already blew by previous high with eight in 2015).
