Jose Abreu and Chris Sale set to appear at SoxFest 2016

The Chicago White Sox have announced that first baseman Jose Abreu and left-handed pitcher Chris Sale are scheduled to appear at the Hilton Chicago for SoxFest 2016, sponsored by Miller Lite, Comcast SportsNet, Beggars Pizza and WGN-TV.

In 2015, Abreu joined Albert Pujols (2001-02) as the only players to register 30-plus homers and 100-plus RBIs in their first two MLB seasons. Also during the 2015 season, Sale broke the White Sox single-season record for strikeouts (274), surpassing Hall of Famer Ed Walsh's 107-year-old mark. Sale became the only White Sox player to strike out 10-plus batters in four straight starts.

SoxFest 2016 - Friday, January 29 through Sunday, January 31, 2016 - offers fans the opportunity to meet their favorite White Sox players and franchise greats. Additional current and former White Sox players attending SoxFest will be announced at a later date.

This is the second year that the Hilton Chicago will host SoxFest, which is in its 24th year. Fans will have access to special autograph, photo and question-and-answer sessions, the popular SoxFest Garage Sale and special interactive activities throughout the weekend.

Two-night SoxFest hotel packages include exclusive access to Friday night events and a SoxFest 2016 Chris Sale bobblehead. Hotel packages that are booked on whitesox.com are the only way to buy weekend passes. SoxFest hotel reservations at the Hilton Chicago are $304 for a two-night stay (price does not include applicable taxes, fees and costs for weekend passes). Fans who book hotel packages are eligible to also purchase up to four SoxFest weekend passes. Weekend passes will be available for $40 for each adult and for $10 for kids (ages 4 to 13).

Individual passes to SoxFest will be on sale at a later date.
