Hamilton with Round Rock through weekend

ARLINGTON -- The Rangers are not expecting outfielder Josh Hamilton to be activated off the disabled list during the current homestand.

Hamilton, acquired from the Angels on April 27 and on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock, went 0-for-4 on Monday night in his second game. He went 1-for-3 in his first game on Sunday.

The Rangers expect Hamilton to remain with Round Rock at least through the weekend. Right now the earliest he is projected to be activated is sometime during the upcoming nine-game road trip to Boston, New York and Cleveland, which starts a week from Tuesday.

In other injury news, Mitch Moreland went 0-for-2 with four walks for Round Rock. Moreland is going to play on Tuesday in Round Rock and then rejoin the Rangers on Wednesday. He is expected to be activated off the DL that night.
