Turner doubles up for career-high-tying 5 RBIs

Dodgers 3B has hit safely in all 3 games this season since return from fractured left wrist

MIAMI -- It was good timing that Justin Turner returned from the disabled list in Miami. The Dodgers' third baseman belted a bases-loaded double in the third inning on Thursday at Marlins Park, then added a two-run double in the fourth to tie his career high in RBIs with five.

Turner's first knock scored Yasiel Puig, Chris Taylor and Austin Barnes, who all walked, to give the Dodgers a 3-0 lead. The trio of RBIs marked the first of the season for Turner, who then scored on a double by Matt Kemp.

But Turner wasn't done there. After Puig lined his third homer of the season into the left-field stands in the fourth inning, Turner sent another ball into left field to push the Dodgers' lead to 7-0.

Turner had two hits on Wednesday and in 49 career games against the Marlins heading into Thursday's action, he was batting .353 with three home runs, 10 doubles, a triple, 13 RBIs, 12 runs scored and a .932 OPS.

Among all-time players with a minimum of 150 plate appearances, Turner's batting average against the Marlins ranks 10th best.

He has hit safely in all three games this season after returning from a fracture in his left wrist sustained in Spring Training when he was hit by a pitch.
