Omaha Storm Chasers (4-4)

Omaha settled for a 2-2 series split as Memphis avenged a 20-3 setback from Wednesday. John Lamb took the loss for the Storm Chasers, allowing five runs (four earned), 11 hits and a walk over 5.0 innings. Matt Fields was 3-for-3 with a double and a walk. He has hit safely in all eight games at a .469 clip (15-for-32).

NW Arkansas Naturals (2-5)

Frisco 11, NW Arkansas 7

HR: Jared Schlehuber (1)

Northwest Arkansas lost a back-and-forth home opener. The Naturals scored four in the first, with Frisco tying the game two innings later. A 7-4 Naturals lead disappeared as Frisco scored the final seven runs. Jared Schlehuber recorded two RBI, including a solo homer. Tim Melville tossed 4.0 innings, permitting four runs on three hits and no walks.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (2-5)

Myrtle Beach 6, Wilmington 5

The Blue Rocks lost a fifth straight overall. Miguel Almonte struck out eight while allowing five runs and seven hits over 5.2 innings. Wilmington tied the game at 5-5 with four runs in the seventh. Jack Lopez drove home three with a bases-clearing double. Johermyn Chavez and Cody Stubbs each added an RBI.

Lexington Legends (4-4)

Lexington 2, West Virginia 0
WP: Andrew Edwards (1-0)
HR: Fred Ford (2)

Fred Ford's two-run homer in the eighth lifted Lexington to a 2-0 road win. The piggyback team of Luis Rico and Andrew Edwards combined on Lexington's first shutout of the year. Rico yielded three hits and three walks over the first 4.0 innings. Edwards (5.0 IP, 2 H, 1 BB) earned the win.
