Omaha Storm Chasers (5-6)

Omaha lost a second straight at Nashville, dropping to 1-2 in the four-game set. Starter P.J. Walters was charged with five runs on nine hits over 4 2/3 innings. Omaha scored three in the eighth, including an RBI double by Matt Fields. The hit extended Fields' hitting streak to 11 games, tying a career high. He's batting .450 (18-for-40), which is tied for second in the Pacific Coast League. Brett Eibner posted a 4-for-5 day, lifting his average to .359 (14-for-39).

NW Arkansas Naturals (2-8)

Midland 11, NW Arkansas 6

HR: Mark Threlkeld (2)

Northwest Arkansas fell behind 7-0 in a series-opening loss to Midland, their seventh straight defeat overall. Jorge Bonifacio, the Royals' fourth-best prospect, recorded two hits and three RBIs for the Naturals. Mark Threlkeld had two hits, including a solo homer in the ninth.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (4-6)

The Blue Rocks lost a 1-0 decision after earning shutout wins in the previous two games. Daniel Stumpf allowed the lone run on six hits and a walk over 5 2/3 innings. Ali Williams (2 1/3 innings) and Kyle Bartsch (one inning) followed with scoreless relief work. Raul Adalberto Mondesi doubled, walked and stole a base. Kenny Diekroeger and Johermyn Chavez added singles.

Lexington Legends (6-5)

West Virginia 10, Lexington 6

HR: None

Lexington fell short in a bid for a four-game sweep at West Virginia. The Power scored nine in the second to build a 10-0 lead, with Erich Weiss hitting a grand slam. Fred Ford doubled twice and drove in a pair. He's tied for the league lead with five doubles. Michael Antonio added two hits, an RBI and two runs.
