Omaha Storm Chasers (72-58)

Omaha won their fifth-straight game at home in shutout fashion. Jose Martinez continued to shine on offense, collecting two more hits and is now batting .389 in 68 games. Andy Ferguson made his longest start of the season, shutting out Sacramento over 6.2 innings. In his last six appearances, Ferguson has allowed only five runs in 27.0 innings with an ERA of 1.67. Alex Gordon made his second rehab start, going 1-for-4 with a run scored.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (57-69)

HR: None

Wilmington was shutout for the 17th time this season, the most of any team in the Carolina League. Carolina starter, Yean Carlos Gil, went 7.0 innings and only allowed one hit. Matthew Strahm tossed 5.0 innings for Wilmington, giving up three hits and a sole run.

Idaho Falls Chukars (30-30)

Grand Junction scored in the first five innings to defeat the Chukars by eight. Joshua Banuelos collected a pair of hits for Idaho Falls, one being a solo blast. Daniel Concepcion had a tough outing, working only 3.0 innings and giving up five earned runs.

Burlington Royals (26-34)

HR: None

Burlington scored nine runs with eight of the nine starters recording at least one hit. Three Royals had three-hit games, Bien, Dulin and Castellano. Nolan Watson tossed a career-high 4.2 innings over four hits and no runs.

Surprise Royals (36-16)

The Indians were the victors of a close pitching duel, the only run being scored on a blast by Jose Medina. Jorge Rodriguez, Reinaldo Cepin and Jason Freeman combined for 8.0 innings, allowing just one run and six hits for the Surprise.
