Omaha held on for a fifth-straight win overall, moving to 2-0 vs. Iowa. John Lamb fanned 10, though he did not get his 10th win of the year. The lefty allowed two runs, four hits and a walk over 5.0 innings. Whit Merrifield posted three hits and two runs. Francisco Pena entered in the sixth and hit a two-run homer in the eighth.

NW Arkansas Naturals (4-8 Second Half, 44-38 Overall)

Frisco at Northwest Arkansas - Cancelled due to rain

Rain kept the RoughRiders and Naturals from playing for a second straight night. Thursday's game will not be made up as the clubs were already scheduled to play a doubleheader tonight.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (8-5 Second Half, 46-37 Overall)

Frederick 6, Wilmington 1 - Suspended in the fourth

Rain stopped play in the fourth on Thursday in Wilmington with Frederick leading 6-1. The game will resume on July 15. Sean Manaea struck out four while allowing the six runs over 3.2 innings. Humberto Arteaga scored on Santiago Nessy's sacrifice fly in the first.

The Legends split a pair of seven-inning games at home. Ryan O'Hearn hit two home runs on the night, bringing his league-leading total to 19. The second place total is 13. Yunior Marte tossed 5.0 scoreless innings in game two, with Nik Stephenson going 2.0 frames for the save.

Idaho Falls left the tying run on third after rallying with four in both the seventh and ninth. Nick Dini clubbed his first professional home run, a three-run shot in the seventh. Dini was KC's 14th-round pick this June. Josh Banuelos doubled twice and is batting .383.

Burlington Royals (10-7)

Burlington dropped to 1-1 at Bristol. Colton Frabasilio and Ben Johnson had two hits apiece. Meibrys Viloria walked twice and scored two runs. Jacob Bodner had 2.0 perfect innings, giving the 27th round pick 6.1 scoreless innings on the year.

Surprise Royals (11-5)

Surprise lost at Peoria after scoring four in the first. Cristian Vasquez was 3-for-5, including a three-run homer. Yimaury Pena struck out three while allowing two runs, six hits and two walks over 3.2 innings.
