Omaha Storm Chasers (17-17)

The Storm Chasers dropped a pair of seven-inning games vs. Round Rock. Jonathan Dziedzic made his Triple-A debut in game one, allowing eight runs with four strikeouts over 3.1 innings. Cheslor Cuthbert posted two hits and two RBI. Omaha was held to five hits in the nightcap after recording 12 in game one. Both runs came in the second inning as Michael Choice and Trever Adams hit back-to-back homers. Michael Mariot posted 2.2 scoreless innings in relief. Andy Ferguson is scheduled to make his Triple-A debut tonight. He was 4-0 with a 0.85 ERA at Northwest Arkansas.

NW Arkansas Naturals (22-11)

A five-run sixth put Northwest Arkansas on top as they went on to an opening win over Springfield. Jorge Bonifacio drove in five runs, finishing 3-for-4 with a double. Rafael Furcal added two hits, two RBI, a walk and a run in his first game with the Naturals. Terrance Gore had two hits and two runs. He's batting .280 on the year and .333 (21-for-63) after starting 0-for-12.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (18-15)

Wilmington 1, Potomac 0

Wilmington won a pitchers' duel, with Cody Reed (6.0 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 9 SO) and Luke Farrell (3.0 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 4 SO) combining on the shutout. Reed lowered his ERA to 1.69 (6 ER in 32.0 IP). The 2013 second-round pick has 35 strikeouts against eight walks. Frank Schwindel's sixth-inning single plated Ramon Torres for the game's only run. Schwindel added his first triple of 2015.

Lexington stole eight bases in an opening win at Savannah. Carlos Garcia swiped three, bringing his season total to 21, third in the league. Alfredo Escalera recorded two hits and two RBI. Pedro Fernandez (5.0 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5 SO) ran his record to 3-0.
