Kawasaki rests with right hamstring tightness
ST. PETERSBURG -- Blue Jays second baseman Munenori Kawasaki, who left Friday's game against the Rays in the seventh inning with tightness in his right hamstring, was scratched from the lineup Saturday in favor of Steve Tolleson.
It was Tolleson who replaced Kawasaki on Friday and delivered the go-ahead two-run single in the ninth inning of Toronto's 8-5 win.
"He never gets banged up, so when he's hobbling a little bit, you know there's something," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. "You know something's not right. Probably a little fatigued, too."
