Koji, Tazawa meet with Kennedy in Japan

Red Sox pitchers Koji Uehara and Junichi Tazawa have been touring Japan with the World Series trophy, and on Tuesday, they met with U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy.

In addition to spending time with baseball fans in their native country, Uehara and Tazawa also met with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and gave him a Red Sox jersey, according to The Associated Press.

Uehara and Tazawa were key members of Boston's bullpen in 2013, particularly during the postseason. Tazawa made five scoreless appearances in the World Series, while Uehara earned the save in a decisive Game 6 against the Cardinals.
