Lance Berkman to be guest on tonight's Astroline
Former Astro and six-time All-Star joins Hall of Fame Broadcaster Milo Hamilton
HOUSTON, TX - Former Astros star and six-time All-Star Lance Berkman will be the guest on Astroline tonight for the 10th installment of the offseason radio program.
The show will be broadcast live at 7 p.m. from Pluckers Wing Bar (1400 Shepherd Dr., 77007) on KTRH 740 AM. The show is open to the public and will be streamed online at Astros.com.
Hall of Fame broadcaster Milo Hamilton, who celebrated his 69th year on the airwaves during Thanksgiving week, serves as the host of Astroline, and will do so for most of the remaining shows this offseason.

Astroline, which is presented by Budweiser, is broadcast live weekly from 7-8 p.m. CT during the offseason. The show rotates between KTRH 740 AM and their sister station KBME 790 AM.

Berkman, 38, recently announced his retirement from baseball on Jan. 29, ending his 15-year playing career as one of the greatest switch-hitters of all-time. Among all switch-hitters to ever play in the Majors, Berkman ranks second in slugging percentage (.537) and OPS (.943) behind only Mickey Mantle, third in on-base percentage (.406) and fourth in home runs (366). Berkman played in parts of 12 seasons with the Astros from 1999-2010 after getting drafted by the club in the first round of the 1997 draft out of Rice University in Houston. An integral part of the Astros NLCS and World Series runs from 2004-05, Berkman ranks among the Astros top-five all-time leaders in hits, games played, runs, doubles, home runs, RBI, walks, batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage.
Hamilton began his Hall of Fame radio career as a disc jockey on the Armed Forces Radio Network during Thanksgiving week in 1945. He retired from the Astros radio booth at the end of the 2012 season, which was his 28th with the Astros and his 59th year broadcasting Major League Baseball. Although he retired from calling games, Hamilton has remained active with the Astros and continues to host charity events, while making select appearances on game broadcasts.
GOING TO DISNEY: Beginning Mar. 5, Astroline will be broadcast live from the ESPN Zone restaurant at the Disney Boardwalk in Lake Buena Vista, FL, which is near the Astros Spring Training headquarters in Kissimmee, FL. The Mar. 12 and Mar. 20 shows will also be broadcast from the ESPN Zone.
