• Assistant general manager Gord Ash said he's received positive reports from left-hander Chris Narveson's first rehab start for Triple-A Nashville on Thursday. Narveson threw only 22 pitches in his two scoreless innings, so he threw 13 more pitches in the bullpen to finish his workday. He will be up to four innings, or approximately 60 pitches, in his next start, scheduled for Tuesday at Red Rock, Tex.

• The Brewers flipped their starters for the weekend games at Citizens Bank Park, moving Wily Peralta to Saturday and Mike Fiers to Sunday. The move was designed to give Fiers an extra day of rest after he warmed-up Thursday for a relief appearance that did not materialize.
