• Slumping shortstop Jean Segura returned to the starting lineup Monday after beginning the Brewers' previous two games on the bench. Roenicke said he had a productive chat with his second-year player over the weekend.

"Anytime I take a guy out for a couple of games, a starter, I'll talk to him," Roenicke said. "He understood. They may not be happy all the time, but they understand."
