Happ has posted a 3-1 record in five starts with Pirates, rolling to a 1.98 ERA. In his last four outings, he has given up just two runs across 23 innings.
"It definitely feels good," Happ said. "It's been fun kind of getting to know this group and watching them play on a day-to-day basis. I'm glad to be able to contribute and hopefully just continue to do so."
Pirates manager Clint Hurdle is thrilled with what Happ has brought to the table for the Pirates.
"He's really helped," Hurdle said. "He has helped solidify the rotation. His confidence is probably in as good a place as it's been all year. He's fit in well with the team, and the team has embraced him. He's gone out there in a very professional fashion and manner, and he's given us four really good starts in a row."
