Mariners salute Super Bowl Champion Seahawks at home opener on April 8

Russell Wilson, Malcolm Smith, Jermaine Kearse, K.J. Wright, Bobby Wagner and others will take part in pre-game ceremonies and first pitch

In pre-game ceremonies on Opening Night at Safeco Field, the Seattle Mariners will salute the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks, as Russell Wilson, Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith, Jermaine Kearse, K.J. Wright, Bobby Wagner and others will be on hand for a special presentation and the ceremonial first pitch.

The Mariners open the season on the road Monday, March 31, against the Los Angeles Angels. After the seven-game trip to Anaheim and Oakland, the Home Opener is Tuesday, April 8, also against the Angels. Game time is 7:10 pm, with pre-game ceremonies scheduled to begin at 6:30.

"The Seahawks thrilled the fans of Seattle and the entire Northwest in winning Super Bowl XLVIII, and the Mariners are proud to honor them at our Home Opener. It will be another chance for fans to show their appreciation to the Hawks," said Kevin Mather, Seattle Mariners President and COO.
