Trumbo scratched with sore left knee

Mariners right fielder has homered in his last two games

SEATTLE -- After homering in his past two games, right fielder Mark Trumbo was a late scratch from the Mariners' lineup on Saturday against the White Sox, because of a sore left knee.

Brad Miller took Trumbo's place, making his ninth start of the season in the outfield, and the first in right field.

Trumbo has been hitting well of late for the Mariners, with a three-run homer in Friday's 11-4 loss raising his totals to .240 with seven homers and 23 RBIs in 59 games since being acquired from the D-backs.

After batting just .139 in his first 22 games with Seattle, the 29-year-old has hit .304 with six doubles, six homers and 18 RBIs in his last 37 outings.
