Marlins take on the Nationals, Braves at Marlins Park

Homestand to feature Fireworks Friday, Saturday Spectacular, Giveaways and more

MIAMI - The Miami Marlins begin a three game series with the Washington Nationals on September 6 through September 8th. The homestand will end with a four game series against the Atlanta Braves (September 9 - September 12). This seven game homestand will feature several great promotions, Marlins headphones giveaway, a concert featuring Latin group Sonora Carruseles and a concert by Blaze of Glory a Bon Jovi Tribute band.  

The homestand begins on Friday, September 6th when the Marlins take on the Nationals at 7:10 p.m. This Friday home game is Fireworks Friday presented by New Era Cap, where fans can enjoy a Fireworks Show over Marlins Park from the comfort of their seats immediately after the game. The Marlins will also celebrate Central American Heritage Night. Also on Fridays, fans can purchase the Sir Pizza 4-Pack, which includes four (4) tickets, four (4) personal Sir Pizzas and four (4) Pepsi soft drinks, all for $60 and available on every Friday night home game. This Friday game fans can enjoy the UM vs. UF Ultimate Party in the Clevelander. Fans can purchase tickets for the event and will include a Marlins cap with their school colors. September 6th is also a Duffy's Deals game, allowing fans the opportunity to purchase a game ticket and receive roundtrip transportation to the game from a Duffy's Sports Grill location for just $40.

Saturday, September 7th is game two of the three-game series against the Nationals with a post-game concert on the West Plaza featuring Blaze of Glory: Bon Jovi Tribute, presented by Majestic Athletic . The concert is part of Saturday Spectaculars and will feature pregame entertainment on the West Plaza from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. and an autograph session with a Marlins player inside the New Era Team Store from 6:00 to 6:20 P.M. The All-You-Can-Eat Seats will also be available on Saturday Spectaculars, for just $27 in Vista Reserved or $37 in Legends Silver. Menu items will include unlimited Kayem Beef Franks, Peanuts, Popcorn, Nachos, Pepsi soft drinks, and Aquafina water. 

On September 8th at 1:10 P.M., fans are invited to celebrate Family Sunday. Plus, the first 5,000 kids in attendance will receive Marlins headphones courtesy of MetroPCS. Pregame fun will feature entertainment with Radio Disney AM 990, DJ Petey and the Marlins Energy Team. During Snapshot Sunday on the Promenade Level outside of Section 18, fans can take photos with a Marlins player from 12 p.m. to 12:20 p.m. Post-game entertainment will include Diamond Dash where all kids 12 and under can run the bases. On all Family Sundays, fans can pick up the Pepsi 4-for-$54 Pack ,which includes four (4) tickets, four (4) Kayem Beef Franks and four (4) Pepsi soft drinks, starting at just $54. 

Monday, September 9th at 7:10 p.m. the Marlins start their four-game series against the Braves. As part South Florida Heroes Mondays presented by Outback Steakhouse,  military servicemen and women, veterans, police officers, firefighters and all local first responders with proper I.D. can claim free tickets at Marlins Park north ticket office. Fans can also take advantage of the All You Can Eat Seat Special and can purchase tickets in Legends Gold for $32 or Legends Silver for $22, which includes a ticket and "All You Can Eat" Kayem Beef Franks, Peanuts, Popcorn, Nachos, Pepsi soft drinks, and Aquafina water.

Tuesday, September 10th is game two of the four-game series against the Braves. Fans can take advantage of the Miami Herald Half Price Tuesday offer and get half priced tickets in Legends Silver, Baseline Reserved, Bullpen Reserved and Home Run Porch on any Tuesday home game in 2013. September 10th also features a Back To School Ticket Special, giving fans the opportunity to purchase up to three kids tickets at $1 each with the purchase of an adult ticket. Game three of four against the Braves will be First Responders Appreciation Night on Wednesday, September 11st at 7:10 p.m. and kids 12 and under can eat free on Kids Eat Free Wednesday Nights. Wednesdays are also Chevron "Crazy 8's" when fans can get $8 Home Run Porch tickets or $18 Home Plate Box tickets to any Wednesday home game in 2013 with the purchase of eight (8) gallons of gas or more from any South Florida Chevron station. When filling up with gas, fans can scan the QR at participating Chevron stations to receive a coupon code for specially priced Marlins tickets. The coupon code must be entered when purchasing tickets for any 2013 Wednesday Marlins home games at Marlins.com/Chevron. The homestand will conclude on Thursday, September 12st against the Braves at 12:40 p.m. Fans can take advantage of the WellMax Medical Centers Seniors Free Ticket Thursday where all fans 55 years and older can receive complimentary tickets to all Thursday home games, as well as Subway $5 Ticket Offer where fans can visit their local participating Subway location to receive a Marlins voucher valid for one $5 ticket.

DR. ALFONSO FIRST PITCH: During this past spring, a US Federal Agent stationed in Panama suffered a massive heart attack. The heart attack was so massive, that Panamanian doctors needed to call the States for help. University of Miami (UM) Hospital was the first to respond to the call for help by the U.S. embassy in Panama. The state department assisted in getting UM cardiac experts, including Dr. Carlos Alfonso, to Panama. On Saturday, September 7th the Marlins will honor Dr. Alfonso heroic efforts with him throwing a ceremonial first pitch.

CHEVRON "CRAZY 8'S" TICKET OFFER: Fans can take advantage of the Chevron "Crazy 8's" Ticket Offer and get $8 Home Run Porch tickets or $18 Home Plate Box tickets to any Wednesday home game in 2013 with the purchase of eight (8) gallons of gas or more from participating Chevron stations. When filling up with gas, fans can scan the QR at participating Chevron stations to receive a coupon code for specially priced Marlins tickets. The coupon code must be entered when purchasing tickets for any 2013 Wednesday Marlins home games at Marlins.com/Chevron. Fans can also present their receipt at the Marlins Park Box Office to receive specially priced tickets. Limit of eight (8) tickets per transaction.

 

KIDS EAT FREE WEDNESDAY NIGHTS: All kids 12 and under can eat free on Wednesday night home games in 2013. Promotion is valid for all seating categories in the ballpark. Each child 12 and under will receive a voucher at the ballpark entrance for a free Kayem Beef Frank, a bag of chips and a small Pepsi, redeemable at any Fan Feast concession stand in the ballpark or at the Kids Shack concession stand in centerfield on the Promenade Level.
