Marlins to host Phillies, Mets during final regular season homestand

Homestand to feature West Plaza Parties, Saturday Spectacular fireworks show, Family Sunday festivities, promotions and more

MIAMI -- The Miami Marlins are ready to take on the Philadelphia Phillies (September 28-30) and the New York Mets (October 1-3) at Marlins Park. The six-game homestand will feature two fan giveaways (the first 5,000 kids on Sunday, September 30 will receive a Marlins Kids Ice Cream Helmet Bowl presented by Southeast Toyota and on Wednesday, October 3 (Closing Day) all fans will receive a Marlins 2013 Magnetic Schedule presented by Net10 Wireless, a Friday Night Live post-game concert with 80's Freestyle icon Stevie B, presented by Heineken Light on Friday, September 28, Saturday Spectacular on September 29 featuring a post-game fireworks show and concert with TKA/K-7. The homestand will also feature special promotions including the Sir Pizza 4-Pack on September 28, the Marlins All You Can Eat Special for just $24 and Military Mondays presented by Outback Steakhouse on October 1, the Marlins 4-for-$54 offer on October 2 and Chevron Ticket Wednesday on October 3.

Starting Friday, September 28 the Marlins will take on the Phillies with the first pitch set for 7:10 P.M. Fans can pick up the new Marlins Pizza 4-Pack, including four tickets, four Sir Pizzas and four Pepsi soft drinks for $79. The offer is available at the Marlins Park box office. Fans are also encouraged to arrive early and enjoy the pre-game party on the West Plaza, plus fans can enjoy a public autograph session with a Marlins player from 6 P.M. to 6:20 P.M. Fans are encouraged to stay after the game and enjoy a Friday Night Live concert featuring 80's Freestyle icon Stevie B, presented by Heineken Light. The three-game series continues on Saturday, September 29 at 7:10 P.M. with a post-game fireworks show and concert with TKA/K-7. This Saturday will feature pre-game entertainment on the West Plaza from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. and an autograph session with a Marlins player on the Promenade Level from 6:00 to 6:20 P.M. On Family Sunday, September 30 the first 5,000 kids will receive a Marlins Kids Ice Cream Helmet Bowl presented by Southeast Toyota. Pre-game fun will feature entertainment with Radio Disney AM 990, DJ Petey and the Marlins Energy Team. During Snapshot Sunday on the Promenade Level, fans can take photos with a Marlins player from 12 P.M. to 12:20 P.M. Sunday will also feature the first ever Bike to the Ballpark event, presented by Green Mobility Network and the City of Miami. Fans with bicycles are welcome to join the event at the Government Center in downtown Miami beginning at Noon. Post-game entertainment will include Diamond Dash where all kids can run the bases.

The homestand will continue on Monday, October 1 when the Marlins will take on the New York Mets. First pitch is set for 7:10 P.M. at Marlins Park. Military personnel with I.D. can claim free tickets at the Marlins Park box office as part of Military Mondays presented by Outback Steakhouse. Also, fans can get the Marlins All You Can Eat Special for just $24, which includes a Vista Level ticket and all you can eat hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn, nachos, sodas and water. All You Can Eat seats in the Legends Level are also available for $34 each.

The series continues on Tuesday, October 2 at 7:10 P.M. Fans can purchase the 4 for $54 Pack, which includes 4 Vista Reserved Tickets, 4 Hot Dogs, 4 Sodas and 4 Bags of Chips for $54. The 4 for $64 is also available, which includes a seating upgrade to Legends Silver. Special is available on every Tuesday home game, online and at the box office, and can be sold as a group for the same price. Food, soda and chips vouchers are redeemable at all concession stands.

The homestand will conclude on Wednesday, October 3 for Marlins Closing Day at 4:10 P.M. Fans can also take advantage of Chevron Ticket Wednesday and get 50% off tickets by bringing their receipt of 8 gallons of gas from Chevron. Also, pre-game and festivities will be available on the West Plaza, and fans are invited to stay in their seats for a special post-game Closing Day ceremony with players, Billy The Marlin, the Marlins Sea Creatures, the Energy Team and more.

THE BUCK-A-ROOS: John Buck will be bringing 20-25 special needs children as part of the Buck-A-Roos program. John Buck has donated tickets, a buckaroo shirt, food vouchers, and will also have a private meet and greet with the kids. John Buck will take part in a private meet and greet with the kids in the Media Press Conference Room.

50-50 RAFFLE: Every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday home game the Marlins Foundation partners with local non-profit organizations to host the 50/50 Raffle. The 50/50 Raffle Programs provides fans the opportunity to win 50% of the proceeds, with the other half of the proceeds benefitting the guest non-profit organization. From the time the gates open until the end of the 4th inning tickets can be purchased for a suggested donation of $3 per ticket, two for $5, five for $10, and 15 for $20, at Raffle Headquarters Section 23 and from volunteers throughout the ballpark. SNAPSHOT SUNDAY: On every Family Sunday this season, fans will be able to have their photograph taken with a Marlins player. Fans are reminded to bring their own camera. Snapshot Sunday is located on the Promenade Level in Section 28 from 12:00 P.M. to 12:20 P.M.

PREGAME ENTERTAINMENT: DJ Petey will host a pregame party on the West Plaza, and Radio Disney AM 990 will be at Sec. 34 on the Promenade Level from 11 AM to 1 PM with music, games, prizes and more.

DIAMOND DASH: After every Marlins Family Sunday, kids 12 and under get to run the bases on the field in the Marlins Diamond Dash. We ask that children do not slide at any base or Home Plate for their own safety. Billy's Bunch kids club members can present their 2012 membership card in order to move up to the Diamond Dash Fast Lane.

BIKE TO THE BALLPARK EVENT: City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, in conjunction with the Miami Marlins and the Green Mobility Network, invite fans to bike to the Marlins game this Sunday. The goal is to demonstrate how easy it is to get from downtown Miami to Marlins Ballpark by bicycle. Bicyclists can take their bikes aboard Metrorail or Metromover to Government Center. From there it is only 1.6 miles to Marlins Ballpark where you will be greeted by Mayor Regalado and Marlins Executives. Participants will be there in plenty of time for the first pitch at 1:15pm. At the Ballpark you will find free bike valet and enjoy Major League Baseball at one of the best sport facilities in the world.
