Marlins Winter Warm Up set for Feb. 15

MIAMI -- The countdown to Spring Training is underway. But before the Marlins take the field in mid-February, they will be interacting with fans at the team's annual Winter Warm Up.

The Winter Warm Up -- previously known as FanFest -- is set for Feb. 15 at Marlins Park.

Free to the public, the event will start at 10 a.m. ET, and it marks the start of individual tickets for regular-season games going on sale at the ballpark and online at marlins.com. Season-ticket plans are already available online.

Opening Day for the Marlins will be March 31 against the Rockies at Marlins Park.

All players on the 40-man roster are expected to attend the Winter Warm Up, which features autograph sessions and interactive activities.

The Winter Warm Up will cap the Marlins' annual caravan week, which begins on Feb. 10.

All week, players, coaches and staff will make various stops throughout South Florida. Visits will be made in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

There will be a new attraction to caravan week -- the inaugural Jack McKeon Marlins Celebrity Golf Classic. The charitable event is set for Feb. 12 at the Crandon Golf Course in Key Biscayne, Fla.

Spring Training for Miami gets underway at the Roger Dean Stadium complex in Jupiter, Fla., on Feb. 16. Full-squad workouts begin on Feb. 20, and the first exhibition game will be Feb. 26 against the University of Miami.
