Harrison targets June for return to Rangers
PHOENIX -- Injured Rangers starter Matt Harrison is targeting a June return to the big leagues.
Harrison, who is recovering from spinal fusion surgery and working out at the club's Spring Training facility in nearby Surprise, joined his teammates Tuesday at Chase Field.
"The goal for me is to be back in June sometime," Harrison said. "I've got about three or four more weeks out here and then a rehab assignment."
Harrison is scheduled to throw an 80-pitch simulated game Wednesday and face live hitters sometime next week. On Monday, he participated in defensive drills and fielded 15 comebackers to the mound.
