Harvey good to go for next start vs. Marlins

NEW YORK -- Matt Harvey threw his routine between-starts bullpen session as scheduled on Tuesday, quieting any remaining speculation about his right arm.

Harvey, who will start Friday against the Marlins, gave up a career-high seven earned runs in a career-low four innings last time out in Pittsburgh on Saturday. Manager Terry Collins speculated afterward that Harvey could be going through a bit of dead arm, or fatigue.

Regardless, pitching coach Dan Warthen reiterated after Harvey's bullpen session that he is fine to make his next start Friday. In his first year back from Tommy John surgery, Harvey is 5-2 with a 2.91 ERA and 60 strikeouts in 58 2/3 innings.
