Kemp still has one season-long streak alive
Right fielder has reached base in 19 straight games

Matt Kemp's 15-game hitting streak -- the longest run by a Padres hitter this season -- ended last week. But another season-long streak remains active.
Kemp's two-run, first-inning homer Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia extended the right fielder's streak of reaching base to 19 straight games.
He is hitting .325 (25-for-77) with six walks during the on-base streak for a .373 on-base percentage. Kemp also has two doubles, a triple and five homers during the streak for a .571 slugging percentage and a .924 OPS.
Sunday's homer was Kemp's 16th of the season and his 15th in 74 games since June 6. He has 54 RBIs in those 74 games.

• Brett Wallace had an RBI single as a pinch-hitter Sunday. Wallace is 5-for-6 with a double and a home run with two walks, four RBIs and three runs scored in his last eight pinch-hitting appearances. Wallace is hitting .333 (10-for-30) as a pinch-hitter since joining the Padres on June 19. He has two doubles and two home runs (a .600 slugging percentage) with seven RBIs and six runs scored. He also has six walks as a pinch-hitter for a .444 on-base percentage.
• Justin Upton was only 4-for-24 on the Padres' just-completed road trip to Washington and Philadelphia. But all four hits were home runs, accounting for four of his nine home runs on the road this season. Upton has 24 home runs on the season, including a single-season, record-tying 15 at Petco Park. Upton is hitting .207 on the road this season.
• First baseman Yonder Alonso was 8-for-19 (.421) on the trip with two RBIs and four runs scored. The trip raised his batting average to .279, its highest mark since Alonso was hitting .280 on Aug. 3.
• Right-handed starter James Shields is 2-1 with a 2.89 earned run average over his last three starts. He is 3-3 since the All-Star break with a 3.20 ERA, allowing 20 runs in 54 2/3 innings.
