Mets-Reds game suspended after six innings
NEW YORK -- The Mets were one hit away from getting Matt Harvey a win and the team a rain-shortened victory on Saturday. But with the bases loaded and two out in the bottom of the sixth, red-hot Curtis Granderson flied out to left, holding the score at 1-1.

The tarp would then come out and after 53-minute rain delay, the final three innings of the Mets vs. Reds game at Citi Field were suspended.
The game will resume in the top of the 7th inning on Sunday at 1:10 p.m. ET, followed by the regularly scheduled Sunday game 30 minutes after the completion of the suspended game.
Granderson was in the middle of everything for as long as the weather allowed. His solo home run in the third inning provided the Mets only run, and he misplayed a ball in right field in the fifth that led to Cincinnati's lone run.
After a long sprint, Granderson got to Tucker Barnhart's short fly. But the ball bounced out of Granderson's glove as he slid on the wet grass. Barnhart scored on Brandon Phillips' RBI single two batters later.
"I definitely should have had it," Granderson said. "It hit me in the palm of the glove. I thought I had it, but it bounced out for whatever reason."
Granderson also doubled in the first, extending his hitting streak to seven games. Granderson is the only Mets batter hitting right now, prompting manager Terry Collins to leave him in to hit against lefty reliever Manny Parra in the sixth. Granderson is hitting .127 against lefties this season.
On the mound, Matt Harvey was effective for the third straight start. The righty limited the Reds to one run and five hits over six innings. He walked two and struck out three. He's won just twice since May 1.
"I think this is a first for me, pitching in a game that will be picked up tomorrow," Harvey said. "Where we're at, we're feeling pretty good."
Saturday marked the Mets' second suspended game under the rule change that makes official games that are stopped with the score tied suspended games, rather than games that must be replayed from the beginning.
The first such game was against the Braves at Citi Field on May 24, 2013 due to rain in the ninth inning. The game was won the next day by Atlanta, 7-5 in 10 innings.
Prior to that, New York's last suspended game was the second game of a doubleheader against the Cubs at Wrigley Field on August 6, 1986. That game was suspended due to darkness at the end of the seventh inning. When it was resumed the next day, the Mets won 7-6.
