NEW YORK -- The Mets posted a winning record against just one of the four other National League postseason teams. That team was the Dodgers, who New York edged, 4-3, in a season series that featured pitching duels, slugfests and a dramatic walk-off finale.

Mets at Dodgers, July 3 -- Mets 2, Dodgers 1
Two diving plays by Lucas Duda at first base helped Noah Syndergaard match Clayton Kershaw pitch-for-pitch, and the Mets pulled ahead with a ninth-inning rally against Kenley Jansen. Kershaw struck out seven over seven innings, Syndergaard fanned six over six frames. Los Angeles' lone run came on an Adrian Gonzalez solo homer.
Mets at Dodgers, July 4 -- Dodgers 4, Mets 3
Zack Greinke outdueled Matt Harvey, in the process extending his scoreless streak that would eventually hit 45 2/3 consecutive innings. Gonzalez homered again. The Mets scored three runs off three different Dodgers relievers after Greinke left with seven innings and 100 pitches to his name.
Mets at Dodgers, July 5 -- Mets 8, Dodgers 0
Steven Matz dazzled in is second Major League start -- striking out eight over six scoreless-innings for the victory. But he aggravated a left lat injury in the process that would later sideline him for two months. Wilmer Flores collected four of the 15 hits for the Mets, who again feasted off the Dodgers' bullpen (four runs over three innings).

Dodgers at Mets, July 23 -- Dodgers 3, Mets 0
The offensive low point in the Mets' season saw them become the first team since 1920 to start No. 4 (John Mayberry Jr.) and No. 5 hitters (Eric Campbell) with sub-.200 batting averages. This made for a predictable outcome against Kershaw: the lefty carried a no-hitter into the seventh and struck out 11 in a three-hit shutout. That night, Mets GM Sandy Alderson promoted top prospect Michael Conforto and later that week began a flurry of non-waiver Trade Deadline acquisitions that transformed his roster.

Dodgers at Mets, July 24 -- Dodgers 7, Mets 2
Conforto recorded an RBI in his debut, but the Mets' offense remained mostly dormant against little-known lefty Ian Thomas. Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner homered and doubled twice against his former team to raise his batting average to .327, the high-water mark of his season.

Dodgers at Mets, July 25 -- Mets 15, Dodgers 2
Boosted by the first of many offensive reinforcements, New York's lineup broke out. Kelly Johnson homered in his Mets debut, Duda went deep twice and Conforto and Kirk Nieuwenhuis each went 4-for-4. For Duda, this night started a hot streak that produced nine homers in eight games. Meanwhile, the loss dropped Los Angeles' division lead over San Francisco to one game.

Dodgers at Mets, July 26 -- Mets 3, Dodgers 2
Jacob deGrom outdueled Greinke, who had his scoreless innings streak snapped at 45 2/3. The Dodgers tied the game against Jeurys Familia in the ninth, before Juan Uribe walked-off for the Mets in the 10th off Jansen. Uribe's long drive to center officially went as a single, and unofficially ushered in a new chapter of this Mets' season, which was five days away from meeting Yoenis Cespedes.
