Mets trade RHP Gonzalez Germen

FLUSHING, N.Y., December 19, 2014 - The New York Mets today announced the team traded righthanded pitcher Gonzalez Germen to the New York Yankees for cash considerations.       

Germen, 27, did not record a decision in 25 games out of the bullpen last year while compiling a 4.75 ERA (16 earned runs/30.1 innings). The righthander is 1-2 for his career and owns a 4.31 (31 earned runs/64.2 innings) lifetime ERA in 54 games.

The Mets designated Germen for assignment on Monday, December 15. 

The deal is the 15^th between the Mets and Yankees and first since December 3, 2004, when the clubs swapped Mike Stanton for Felix Heredia.
