Micah Johnson Undergoes Successful Arthroscopic Knee Surgery

Chicago White Sox rookie second baseman Micah Johnson underwent successful exploratory arthroscopic surgery on his left knee this morning at Rush University Medical Center.

During the procedure, which was performed by Dr. Charles Bush-Joseph, scar tissue was removed, and the knee was revealed to be structurally sound. 

Johnson's prognosis for a full recovery is excellent, and he is expected to be ready for spring training without restrictions.

Johnson batted .230 (23-100) with 10 runs scored and three stolen bases in 36 games (32 starts) with the White Sox in 2015. He spent the majority of the season with Class AAA Charlotte, hitting .315 (98-311) with 17 doubles, three triples, eight home runs, 36 RBI, 54 runs scored and 28 stolen bases in 78 games.
