Morse set to make Pirates debut vs. Cubs

First baseman Michael Morse has reported to Pittsburgh, and he will be active for Monday night's game against the Cubs.

To make room for Morse on the 25-man roster, outfielder Jaff Decker has been optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis. Decker is 1-for-13 with five runs in nine games with the Pirates this year.

Morse was traded on Thursday from the Marlins to the Dodgers as part of a three-team deal. He was then traded by Los Angeles to the Pittsburgh for Jose Tabata on Friday. Over 53 games with Miami this season, Morse has hit .213 with four homers and 12 RBIs.

Morse will wear No. 31 for the Pirates.
