Mike Fiers no-hitter giveaway and Star Wars day highlight weekend promotions

First-place Astros hold 2.0 game lead in AL West as pennant race heats up

HOUSTON, TX - The Astros will close out the final series of this current, six-game homestand with exciting promotions this weekend at Minute Maid Park. With 134 games in the books, the Astros enter tonight's series opener vs. the Minnesota Twins with a 2.0 game lead in the AL West over the rival Texas Rangers. 

Friday, September 4 - 7:10 p.m. vs. Minnesota 
Big and Bright Friday Night returns with a postgame fireworks display, presented by Marathon Oil Corporation. This week's fireworks show will feature a Star Wars™ theme.

Tonight is also Happy Hour at Minute Maid Park, featuring $5.25 specials at the Saint Arnold Bar in left field and Day Fresh Budweiser at the Budweiser Patio from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, September 5 - 6:10 p.m. vs. Minnesota
The Astros will celebrate Mike Fiers' historic no-hitter on Saturday. All fans attending the game will receive a commemorative Mike Fiers no-hitter poster upon entering the ballpark. Also, as part of the celebration, the Astros are offering a limited number of $11 View Deck tickets, celebrating what was the 11th no-hitter in club history. Saturday is also the Houston Area Chevy Dealers' Military Appreciation Day. The Houston Area Chevy Dealers distributed 500 tickets to military members and their families for a night at the ballpark. Representatives from each military branch will participate in a flag presentation ceremony on the field during the pregame ceremonies. 

Sunday, September 6 - 1:10 p.m. vs. Minnesota
The force is arriving in Houston on Sunday, Sept. 6 for Star Wars™ Day, which will include a special Star Wars™ edition of Keuchel's Korner at Minute Maid Park. Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Star Wars™ characters and watch as Minute Maid Park transforms into a galaxy far, far away. Join the Bearded Alliance, as the three-time American League Pitcher of the Month takes on the Twins in what will be his last start in Houston until the final homestand of the season. With this package, fans will receive a ticket, beard and special edition Star Wars™ Keuchel's Korner T-shirt. Astronaut Terry Virts (@AstroTerry) will also be on hand to throw out the first pitch.
