Moustakas would make the seventh Royals selected for the 2015 All-Star Game presented by T-Mobile, though he has yet to return to the team since going on the bereavement list for a family emergency on Monday.

If he does not return in time for the All-Star Game, Moustakas would be the second Royals player selected who will not participate. The other is left fielder Alex Gordon, who suffered a Grade 2-plus strain in his left groin and will be out eight weeks.
