Muni subway system upgrade projects to affect evening and early morning service to and from AT&T Park

July 31, 2015 - January 2016

Starting on Friday, July 31, 2015 until January 2016, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), which operates Muni, will begin construction to replace the Blue Light emergency telephones and radio system in the subway between Embarcadero and West Portal. Construction will take place nightly from 10 p.m. until start of service at 5 a.m. the next day for about six months.

During construction, the subway will be closed between Embarcadero and West Portal and a bus shuttle will substitute the subway service between Embarcadero and St. Francis Circle from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Regular rail service will continue to operate at outer surface stops.

The T trains will switch back at Embarcadero most of the time serving all the surface stops including AT&T Park.

On the Giants game days, bus service will be added and the use of two-car trains will better serve fans traveling to and from AT&T Park.
