Nationals acquire Mastroianni from Phillies

Outfielder likely headed to Triple-A Syracuse

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals acquired outfielder Darin Mastroianni from the Phillies in exchange for cash considerations on Tuesday.

Mastroianni, 29, has played parts of four seasons in the Majors. His best season came in 2012, when he hit .252 with three home runs and 17 RBIs for the Twins.
