Escobar leaves Sunday's game with virus

WASHINGTON -- Nationals third baseman Yunel Escobar left Sunday's 5-4 win over the Braves after three innings because of a stomach virus, according to manager Matt Williams.

Escobar, who is one of Washington's hottest hitters, went 1-for-2 and scored on a double by Bryce Harper in the first inning.

"[Escobar] was not feeling great today," Williams said. "It got worse as we got into the game. He could be OK. We'll monitor him the next day or so."
