Nominations are now being accepted for 13th Annual Adult Leadership Award

DENVER - The Colorado Rockies are currently accepting nominations for the 2015 Adult Leadership Award, to be presented in September in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Awareness Month at Coors Field. This season marks the 13th year that the Rockies organization has honored exceptional youth and adult leaders in the Hispanic community. The deadline for nominations is August 7, 2015. Nomination packets may be obtained online at www.rockies.com/leadership or by calling (303) ROCKIES.

In September, the Rockies will be honoring several individuals in the Hispanic community and pregame on-field ceremonies at Coors Field on Saturday, September 26 will be the culmination of the month-long celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. In addition to honoring the winner of the 2015 Adult Leadership Award, the organization will also recognize several youth winners of the 2015 Youth Essay Contest.

The Colorado Rockies Adult Leadership Award was created to recognize individuals who demonstrate a commitment to the Hispanic community through community involvement, the promotion of family values and personal achievements. Eligible recipients are Colorado residents who are actively involved in the Hispanic community, but they need not be Hispanic themselves. The overall award winner will receive 2016 Rockies Season Tickets and have their name added to a plaque displayed inside Coors Field.
