O's rained out, to recall Hunter for Thursday DH

Doubleheader to begin at 4:05 ET; Chen to start Game 1

BALTIMORE -- The game between the Baltimore Orioles and Texas Rangers on Wednesday night was postponed due to rain, and the two teams will play a single-admission doubleheader Thursday, beginning at 4:05 p.m. ET.

Wednesday's scheduled starters, Texas' Colby Lewis and Baltimore's Wei-Yin Chen, will pitch Game 1. The Orioles announced after the rainout that Tommy Hunter -- who was optioned Monday -- will start Game 2, meaning the club will have to make a roster move in between games. Hunter can only be activated in an injury situation -- which avoids the minimum 10-day stay in the Minor Leagues -- and the most logical scenario is placing outfielder Endy Chavez (oblique) on the disabled list.

The Rangers will counter with lefty Derek Holland for Game 2, which will not start before 7:05 p.m., regardless of what happens in Game 1. All gates at Camden Yards will open at 3 p.m.

Tickets for Wednesday's game may be exchanged for seats of equal value for Thursday's doubleheader or any remaining non-prime home game during the 2012 season, subject to availability. Ticket exchanges must be made by June 30. The Oriole Park Box Office will open at 9 a.m. on Thursday.

Tickets for Thursday's game will be valid for both games of the doubleheader, and any ticket exchanges can be performed at the box office or submitted in writing along with the original tickets and mailed via certified mail by June 30 to: Baltimore Orioles Attention: May 9 Rainout, 333 West Camden Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
