O's set to host at-risk kids during ALDS

TORONTO -- At-risk youths, who may have never been given an opportunity to enjoy postseason baseball before, will get that chance, thanks to the OriolesREACH Knothole Gang program.

The O's are inviting nearly 1,400 children to Oriole Park at Camden Yards for Games 1 and 2 of the American League Division Series, which begins on Thursday on TBS. Sections 96 and 98 will be made available for those children attending.

A number of groups are participating in the event, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore and The Salvation Army of Central Maryland.

Further, the Orioles are auctioning off pairs of front-row, field-box tickets for Games 1 and 2 to raise funds for the nonprofit groups involved.

"The Orioles' ownership wants children to experience the excitement of postseason baseball live at Oriole Park at Camden Yards," Orioles' vice president of communications and marketing Greg Bader said in a team news release. "We encourage our fans to bid generously on the tickets currently available at auction to help these remarkable nonprofit groups doing great work in our community."
